Dick Fox’s Golden Boys return to Ruth Eckerd Hall featuring three of the most popular teen idols of the ‘50s and early ‘60s: Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell.
The Golden Boys spotlight all-time greatest hits Venus, De De Dinah and Bobby Sox to Stockings (Avalon); Volare, Wild One and Kissing Time (Rydell); Turn Me Loose, Tiger and I’m A Man (Fabian) along with tributes to the material of Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Rick Nelson and more. The Golden Boys, performing together in packed venues throughout the country since 1985, unite Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell, three exciting performers who emerged simultaneously from the same South Philadelphia neighborhood and went on to become world-renowned personalities.
Countless TV appearances including a Golden Boys PBS special have generated a vast audience of fans. Highlights of the fun-filled show include a segment of rare footage from the American Bandstand era and a dance contest that encourages audience participation.
